Aabi’s at Byron Bay, Guesthouse review

Travel Bunny stayed at the luxurious and tranquil Aabi’s at Byron Bay in March 2012 for 2 nights. Locally owned and managed. The owners also have Aaron’s at Byron Bay closer to the beach.

Location: 17 Ruskin St, Byron Bay (15 minute walk to the beach, about 8 mins to Woolworths, very convenient location).

Price: $185/night off peak season for standard king size room.

The hosts were welcoming and offered great service.

The facilities were brilliant. With full BBQ + utensils + plates + cutlery + cups etc at your disposal.

BBQ Area

Butter, condiments (including maple syrup!), oil etc were all available for communal use. The kitchen has a gas stove but the pots and utensils available were not as plentiful as the BBQ area.

Kitchen

2 big fridges/freezers, one in each area was available for use. Nice lounge area by the kitchen as well. Also has pay per use washing and dryer ($4 each machine).

Lounge by the kitchen

The car port was not covered but had enough space for 1 car per room. The decor and landscaping was very calming and relaxing. The jacuzzi by the pool was great!

Jacuzzi with cover on

Each room was spacious with tea/coffee facilities and wine glasses in the room with a small bar fridge. Also short balcony,  Travel Bunny’s room was directly in front of the pool. Just lovely.

Patio/balcony in front of the pool

Pool by day

Bathroom was modern, clean white design with a great waterfall type shower head.

The soaps/shampoo/conditioner supplied were not great, but were made in Australia. Advice would beto bring your own.

The bed itself was very comfortable and the surroundings so quiet that ensure a great peaceful rest.

Comfy bed!

The room had large TV screen, desk and couch. Do check the alarm clock as it wasn’t reset from the previous guests which was a little annoying when you wanted to sleep in.

Best features: King size bed and BBQ area overlooking the pool.

Pool area by night

Recommended: Definitely. You can get last minute rates through Wotif and lastminute.com.au or call them direct and they will price match generally.
