Night Noodle Market is gone and we are at the advent of the Day of the Dead (31 October)! Which is a Mexican tradition that is celebrated in America as Halloween. It seems fitting that All Souls Day is 1 November!
In Australia we have little affinity with either but we a bit of adventure and fun we seem to have adopted both traditions in different ways.
This weekend will see the Zombie walk, which has been running for some years and is a free event.
Saturday night Jurassic Lounge are hosting a Halloween evening at the Australian Museum. They host good paid events (approximately $25), guaranteed fun and great to see some of Sydney’s attractions after dark and in a different light.
If you’ve not had enough, you can front up to Norton St in Leichardt, Sydney’s traditional home of all things Italian for the Italian festa that is celebrating it’s 30th year! FREE!
