Sydney Free Festivals Part VI: Sydney Festival 2015

Travel bunny has been hopping about on holidays and forgot to post!

Sydney Festival

It’s back and in full swing with a full complement of free stuff to do! Click on the name/link above to be directed to the free page.

Check out the Village in Hyde Park North. Argentinian Steakhouse Porteño is there as well as Gelato Messina.

There is an awesome Kirin water ad/marketing spectacular (featured photo in this post) –  worth checking out for a few minutes.

There are daily deals if you don’t mind spending money.

There’s multi-saver packs as well if you buy 3 ticketed events together. Speigeltent is $69 for 3 tickets, whereas the daily special today is one ticket at $35.

So much on at Darling Harbour, Domain free symphony and opera in the park (get there early and mark your spot with a picnic.. it gets crowded!, Village Festival area and all about Sydney CBD + Parramatta.

Also not part of the festival, but don’t forget about:

Art Gallery of NSW’s Art After Hours

Every Wednesday night until 10pm which is also free. This Wednesday 14 Jan has a swinging 60s theme, live music/bands playing, films and often a guest speaker on something really interesting!

Marble Bar – free music

Marble Bar is a hidden gem under the Hilton Hotel. They host live bands most Thursday – Saturday nights. They quality is usually very good. While the drinks are expensive, there is no cover for entry to this great venue. Spectacular inside, it’s hard to get a good photo of the marble interior!

Travel Bunny will be hopping along to see the Cope St Parade on Thursday night – a great local Jazz band!
